For Czarina:
1.What elements are present in the human body?
Oxygen, carbon, hydrogen and nitrogen are the main elements found inside the human body. Aside from these four elements, there are other elements in the human body, although they are found in much smaller amounts.
Calcium, Phosphorous , Potassium, Sodium, Chlorine, Magnesium, Sulfur, Iron, Iodine
There are many other elements found in the human body, but their presence is largely insignificant when compared to these other elements.
For Patricia:
2. How do these elements affect the body
Elements affect the body by making very special ways they make a living breathing person.
Once the person is built it automatically rebuilds itself throughout its lifetime. In order to do this it must have a continuous supply of these same elements and once again they must be combined in very special ways. Understanding the elements we need and the way they must be combined can profoundly affect our lives in the way we feel, act, look and think. It is the only way that we can ever be all that we can be.
For Lyndon:
I – INTRODUCTION
Everything around us is composed of chemical elements. There are many chemical elements present in our body and in very different amounts. Each one has its functions, very complex and not totally clear, but all of them work together in the great biochemical orchestra of our life. The fact is, all these elements together are important, and depleted supplies of any would lead to degradation of the body's functions.
3. Why is potassium necessary in the diet?
Potassium is necessary in the diet because as you keeping away from high-salt foods, and taking mostly fruits that are good sources of potassium , especially bananas, and dark leafy greens, potatoes and legumes you will lose weight but it helps to maintain the requirements of human body of potassium. It also helps to maintain normal blood pressure and sometimes lowering elevated blood pressure. Potassium is very important in cellular biochemical reactions and energy metabolism; it participates in the synthesis of protein from amino acids in the cell. Potassium also functions in carbohydrate metabolism; it is active in glycogen and glucose metabolism, converting glucose to glycogen that can be stored in the liver for future energy. Potassium is important for normal growth and for building muscle.
For Rommel:
4. Why should you be concerned with the elements present in your body?
We should be concerned with the elements present in our body because the primary constituents of the human body are "the elements." Each of these elements has their own qualities that help our body functions. The elements also have special relationships to each other: it possess an inclination not only to ascend and descend, but also to move in a circular direction. Two of the elemental qualities are active and two passive. An ideal combination of elements exists when each one is on an equitable basis with the other. Balance comes when the strength of primary qualities are equal and represent an average of these qualities. The proportion in which the elements are united with the body has an influence upon action. All human beings consist of elemental qualities which are interwoven into their physical process. If something changes at an elemental level, something must have changed in their physical abilities. The property of the elements distinguishes them from one another and at the same time orders them in definite ways.
For Christia:
The effects of elements in our body are they combine with one another in different proportions to form everything to our own bodies. Elements are the basic building blocks of our bodies use for different functions. As our bodies consume these elements through daily functioning, we have to replace them in order to stay healthy and strong. The greatest source of these elements is through the food we eat. Because some of us do not always eat the right foods, we sometimes have to take dietary supplements, such as vitamins, to assure that we maintain the proper chemical balance in our bodies.
For All:
III – INSIGHTS:
I have learned from the research that elements are the basic building blocks of our lives. Elements combine with one another in different proportions to form everything from the air that we breathe, to the wood that we use to build our homes, to our own bodies. Our bodies use different chemical elements for different functions. For instance, our bodies use calcium to build strong bones and fluorine makes our teeth healthier. Generally speaking, an element is healthy for the human body in proportion to its presence in the body.
